Our Emergency and Critical Care Service (ECC) team at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Medical Centers are available for Farm Animals including but not limited to cattle, sheep, goats, alpacas, llamas, pigs, and camels that are in need of emergency medical and surgical care. Emergency services are available to local clientele through Field Services and to all farm animals through the hospital service.

The ECC team includes board-certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, reproduction, anesthesia and radiology and is available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. The Farm Hospital is equipped and staffed to provide continuous intensive care to our hospitalized patients. The ICU has state-of-the-art diagnostic and monitoring equipment and therapeutic services. The UTVMC provides comprehensive diagnostics laboratories (e.g., clinical pathology, cytology, microbiology, parasitology and biopsy) and specialized diagnostic imaging services including radiology, MRI/CT imaging, ultrasound and endoscopy as needed.
