Neurology and Neurosurgery Service

The Neurology and Neurosurgery Service provides specialized veterinary medical and surgical care for animals with neurological diseases and injuries. This includes disorders of the brain, spinal cord and vertebrae, nerves, muscles, and the neuromuscular junction.

Our team consists of veterinarians who are board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in neurology, residents and licensed veterinary technician and 4th-year veterinary students. We work with referring veterinarians and other UTVMC specialty services including anesthesia, radiology, radiation oncology, internal medicine, and physical rehabilitation. This team approach allows animals with neurological problems to receive the highest level of care possible throughout their hospital stay.
