James T Blackford, DVM, MS, Diplomate American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Blackford received a BS (Colorado State University), MS (Texas A&M University), and DVM (Colorado State University). He is Board Certified in surgery by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Blackford has special interests in soft tissue surgery and lameness of horses. His research focus includes wound management and drug delivery systems. Dr. Blackford’s teaching focus includes colic and principles of surgery. He provides a variety of CE seminars with special focus on wound healing.
