Background

Dr. Roxann Brooks was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia. After receiving a biology degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County she moved to California to attend the University of California, Davis. While there she received both her DVM (Large Animal Emphasis) and PhD. Her PhD research focused on Foothill Abortion (Epizootic Bovine Abortion), an abortifactive disease of beef cattle in California, Nevada and Oregon. Dr. Brooks' research interests are disease diagnostics, infectious diseases of livestock and reproductive immunology.
