Dr. Stephanie Kleine is a 2010 graduate of the University of Georgia. Upon graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists in Atlanta. She returned to UGA to complete a residency in Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia and a PhD in Comparative Physiology and Pharmacology. She is now an Assistant Professor in Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia. Dr. Kleine’s professional interests include anesthesia of the critical small and large animal patient and post-operative and chronic pain management. She enjoys clinical teaching and resident training. Her research interests include osteoarthritis and acute post-operative pain management.
Pain management, particularly pain management for the post-operative period and vet patients with osteoarthritis; clinical trials and in vitro models to advance knowledge regarding pain and pain management strategies
Oversees the anesthetic and analgesic management of small and large animal patients. Consults with faculty and referring veterinarians for analgesia, procedural sedation, and anesthetic management.
