Nora Springer, DVM, PhD, DACVP

Dr. Nora Springer is a veterinarian and biomedical researcher in the field of comparative cancer biology. Dr. Springer has a joint appointment as an investigator, heading a research program focused on the link between obesity and cancer development, and as a diagnostician in the clinical pathology laboratory. Prior to coming to UT, Dr. Springer was on faculty at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine from 2017-2021, where she served as the Section Head for the Clinical Pathology and Clinical Immunology laboratories.
Dr. Springer studies naturally occuring diseases and cancers in companion animals to advance our knowledge for both pets and people.
Dr. Springer’s clinical interests are hematopathology and immunodiagnostics.
Dr. Springer teaches clinical pathology in the pre-clinical and graduate curricula and is engaged is clinical pathology resident mentorship.
