Overview

Dr. Roeder is a clinical instructor in small animal emergency with a special interest in zoological medicine, wildlife medicine, and zoological companion animal emergencies. She earned her bachelor’s and doctorate degrees from Colorado State University. She completed an internship in small animal emergency and zoological medicine at Louisiana State University. Her career objective is to obtain a Dipl. ACZM and work with AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums. Her research interests include conservation and reproduction within zoos (reproductive welfare, assisted reproductive techniques, and contraception), application of critical care medicine within zoos, and multimodal analgesia for non-domestic species.
