Overview

Dr. Cassie Lux completed her veterinary degree at Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, and she continued her clinical training with a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Mississippi State University and a small animal surgical residency at the University of California-Davis. She has published various scientific articles and book chapters pertaining to soft Tissue Surgery. Her special interests include interventional radiology, minimally invasive surgery, and wound healing.

Research Focus

Dr. Lux's research focuses on various aspects of clinical diseases in soft tissue surgery. She is interested in further researching interventional radiology diagnostics and techniques, as well as wound healing adjuncts.

Clinical Focus

Dr. Lux strives to provide high quality medicine and surgical therapies for soft tissue diseases in canine and feline patients. Additionally, she has the goal of finding less-invasive methods for providing treatment.

Teaching Focus

Dr. Lux provides education in the form of lectures and laboratories for the second and third year curriculum, for the clinical year students, as well as having an interest in using simulation models for education.

Outreach Focus

Dr. Lux has enjoyed serving on committees and as officer in various professional organizations, and she has provided continuing education at the local, national, and international level on soft tissue topics.
