Karen McCormick, DVM, Diplomate American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Dr. McCormick holds a BS (Michigan State University) and a DVM (Michigan State University) and is a board certified specialist in internal medicine (DACVIM). Dr. McCormick’s special interests are neonatology, gastrointestinal and metabolic disorders, education, and communication. She has participated in the Bayer Veterinary Communication Training workshops and is a Veterinary Leadership Experience facilitator. Her clinical focus is equine medicine and has research interests in gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases and communication and education. She teaches extensively on equine respiratory disease, equine medicine, and communication techniques. Dr. McCormick provides CE seminars on all aspects of equine medicine and communication
