Overview

Dr. Pierre-Yves Mulon, DVM, DES, Diplomate American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Mulon holds a DMV from the Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire Alfort (France) and a DES (MS equivalent) Université de Montréal (Canada). After graduation, Dr. Mulon completed an internship in Farm Animal Medicine and Surgery and a residency in Large Animal Surgery at the Université de Montréal (Canada). Dr. Mulon developed strong expertise in orthopedic pathologies in ruminants, gastro-intestinal and urogenital surgeries, as well as minimally invasive surgery technique in farm animals. Dr. Mulon has a strong interest in principles of surgery and biomechanics. Dr. Mulon gives invited CE seminars nationally and internationally.

Research Focus

Dr. Mulon's research interests are mechanical properties of surgical implants and techniques, as well as implant osteoingration and bone healing.

Clinical Focus

Dr. Mulon has a strong interest in all surgical conditions in Farm Animals. He hold a specific focus on lameness in cattle, and GI tract disorders.

Teaching Focus
