Overview

Dr. Schildt is a native of Quincy, Illinois. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2004 in veterinary medicine. She then completed an internship at the University of Minnesota in 2005 in small animal medicine followed by her residency in emergency/critical care in 2008 at Michigan State University. With her board-certification in Emergency and Critical Care, Dr. Schildt worked at the University of Minnesota until joining the UTCVM Veterinary Medical Center in 2015 as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. Her clinical interests include toxicological emergencies, transfusion medicine and infectious disease and research interests in toxicology and pharmacology.
