The CEM Program offers a limited number of graduate research assistantships. These are awarded as funds are available. Persons with a professional degree in the health sciences who wish to pursue a PhD are given priority. Awards are renewable up to 4 years for the PhD and up to 2 years for the MS. This and other methods of support may be arranged with individual investigators. Awards typically include a stipend and/or tuition waiver.
The Graduate School posts information on other possible assistantship opportunities at the university, as well as information on external funding sources.
UCLA’s graduate funding database, called GRAPES, also offers an extensive list of external fellowship opportunities to consider. Search scholarships, grants, fellowships, and postdoctoral awards. Free-to-search for applicants to any graduate program, to graduate students working on a master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation, and to postdoc scholars.
