The Radiology Section of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine (UTCVM) consists of 5 radiologists (2 ACVR, 3 ACVR and ECVDI), 4 residents with the 4th year resident functioning as clinical instructor, 4 diagnostic radiology technicians, 2 MRI technicians and 2 administrative staff.
The UTCVM offers a four year structured program designed to prepare the resident to qualify for and pass the certifying examination in diagnostic radiology of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (https://www.acvr.org/). An advanced degree program is not offered in conjunction with the residency.
One residency position is offered per year, which is filled through the Veterinary Internship & Residency Matching Program (https://www.virmp.org/).
A combined document including the most recent residency reapplication submitted to ACVR, a description of residency program details, and a sample schedule are available for download below.
For 2020-2021, all interviews will be handled remotely. Zoom interviews will be scheduled after the VIRMP application deadline (01/11/21) and will be by invitation only.
Additional phone interview slots available on a first come-first serve basis have been filled (01/04/21). Applicants are encouraged to reach out via e-mail if they have specific questions about the program.
