  • Kellie Fecteau, Ph.D., Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the Service. Dr. Fecteau’s training is in the area of reproductive physiology and endocrinology, and her broad area of research interests involve the study of signaling pathways in cells, and drug agent effects on cellular entities both in vitro and in vivo. Dr. Fecteau joined the Service in 2002.
  • Hugo Eiler, D.V.M., Ph.D., Emeritus Professor and Consultant to the Diagnostic Endocrinology Service. Dr. Eiler’s training is in the area of physiology, reproduction and endocrinology. Dr. Eiler has been involved with diagnostic endocrinology procedure and treatment development for more than 30 years. Dr. Eiler became a faculty member of the College in 1976.
  • Luca Giori, D.V.M., Ph.D. Associate Professor and Assistant Director of the Diagnostic Endocrinology Service. Dr. Giori’s training is in the area of clinical pathology (cytology, hematology, biochemistry and endocrinology) and quality assurance. His research has been focused on identification of new biomarkers and innovative analytical methods in veterinary medicine. Dr. Giori joined the faculty and Service in 2014.
  • Alex Esteller-Vico, D.V.M., Ph.D. Assistant Professor of the Diagnostic Endocrinology Service. Dr. Esteller-Vico's area of expertise is in endocrinology and reproduction with a focus on identifying biomarkers of disease, as well as, development of diagnostic tests. Dr. Esteller-Vico joined the faculty and Service in 2018.
  • L. Kim Abney, B.A. Laboratory Section Chief whose training is in the area of cell biology and chemistry. Kim has been involved with laboratory technical work in the College for the past 26 years, and joined the Service in 1992.
  • Julie Fields, B.S. Senior Laboratory Technologist II whose training is in the area of biology. Julie has 9 years experience in laboratory technical work, and joined the Service in 2006.
  • Jessie Cagle, A.A.S. Laboratory Assistant III. Jessie has worked at the UTCVM in different capacities and joined the Service in April, 2013.
  • Ivan Haworth, B.S. Senior Laboratory Technologist I whose training is in the area of biology. Ivan joined the Service in December, 2015.
  • Lucas Kelley, B.S. Senior Laboratory Technologist I whose training is in the area of biology. Lucas joined the Service in November, 2016.
  • Joseph Ramos, M.S. Senior Laboratory Technologist I whose training is in the area of molecular biology. Joseph joined the Service in February, 2017.
  • Aaron Shults, B.A., Laboratory Technologist I whose training is in the area of biology. Aaron joined the Service in November, 2020.
  • In Memoriam Jack W. Oliver, D.V.M., Ph.D., Professor and Founding Director of the Diagnostic Endocrinology Service, whose training is in the area of physiology, pharmacology and endocrinology. Dr. Oliver was responsible for developing the Service for the College in 1978, and has been involved with diagnostic endocrinology procedure and treatment development for the past 30 years. Dr. Oliver became a faculty member of the College in 1975 and remained at the College until his passing in June, 2011.
