The Commencement and Hooding Ceremony for the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine’s Class of 2026 will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the James R. Cox Auditorium in the Alumni Memorial Building located at 1408 Middle Dr, Knoxville. Parking is available in lot 9 and G10.
Dr. Phil Jones, Clinical Assistant Professor of Equine Surgery at the College, is the keynote speaker. Conner Boley and Selina Boone will deliver the Class of 2026 remarks. Dr. Andi Lear, Associate Professor of Farm Animal Field Services, will serve as the faculty standard bearer, and Drs. Talisha Moore, Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology, and Karen Tobias, UTIA Institute Professor and UTCVM Lindsay Young Professor of Small Animal Surgery, will serve as faculty hooders. Drs. Marissa Leupold, Small Animal Emergency & Critical Care resident, and Joe Smith, Associate Professor of Farm Animal Medicine, are the class marshals.

The MS commencement will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, at the Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center. The event will be webcast.
