Gameday Traffic

Prior to and during games, traffic flow is toward the university, so expect traffic congestion. On game days, the only way to access and exit the UT Veterinary Medical Center’s client/personnel parking is via the Jacob Drive entrance near UT Gardens. The Knoxville Police Department and UT Police suggest the following directions for getting to the UT Veterinary Medical Center:

Post Football Game Emergency Access to UT Veterinary Medical Center

Following the game, traffic throughout the area is rerouted to allow patrons to leave Neyland Stadium, making it difficult to get to our veterinary medical center.

Post Football Game Emergency Access to UT Veterinary Medical Center

Make your way to Middlebrook Pike and head toward Sutherland Avenue (you can google Middlebrook Pike and Sutherland Avenue). Turn south onto Sutherland Avenue. At the next red light, turn left onto S. Concord Street, proceed until you reach the intersection of Concord, Kingston Pike, Cumberland Avenue, and Neyland Drive. At this intersection, you will need to obtain police officer approval to go straight through the intersection onto Neyland Drive. If the officer at this intersection denies your request, telephone the dispatch center at 865-974-3114 and ask to be granted Emergency Operations Center permission to proceed. Once on Neyland Drive, at the third red light, turn left onto Jacob Drive then immediately left into the Veterinary Medical Center parking lot.
