Explore Our Newly Launched Portals — Now Live!
UTCVM is transitioning from a single access point to three specialized portals to better serve our referring veterinary partners.

CoreOne – New for submitting lab samples, tracking their progress, and reviewing results. CoreOne FAQs; Registration and Submission Instructions.

rVetLink (EzyVet) – New for referring patients, accessing medical records, and submitting referral forms and imaging. rVetLink Portal FAQs

VOLVet – For requesting courier services and FedEx shipping labels for diagnostic sample submissions. If your clinic has an existing VOLVet Portal account, you don’t need to register again for lab courier services. VOLVet Portal Registration/FAQs
Due to the potential health risk to UTCVM personnel, primate samples are only accepted with prior approval and instruction from American Zoological Association (AZA)-accredited institutions. Without prior approval or proper labeling and packaging, samples will be destroyed. Call the specific laboratory before submitting any non-human primate samples. The only UTCVM diagnostic labs currently accepting non-human primate samples are Anatomic Pathology (Biopsy & Necropsy), Bacteriology/Mycology, Clinical Pathology, and Parasitology.

The UTCVM Diagnostic Laboratories stand ready to provide you the highest quality diagnostic services to ensure the health of your patients. Our diagnostic team is dedicated to meeting your needs in a timely and collegial manner.
Diagnostic Services Research and Development
UTCVM Diagnostic Laboratory Services support research activities. Availability of anatomic pathology (biopsy, necropsy) interpretation services depend on pathology faculty availability and interest. Histology processing of tissues (without pathologist’s interpretation) and other testing services are available on a fee-for-service basis; logistics and turn-around-time may vary depending on individual project needs and timelines and must be approved by the relevant Laboratory Director. All inquiries about diagnostic laboratory testing research support should be directed to Dr. Bente Flatland, Director of Diagnostic Laboratory Services, at bflatlan@utk.edu or 865-974-5570. Please contact us as far in advance as possible when planning a research project.
