Veterinary dermatology involves the diagnosis and treatment of skin disease in both small and large animals by our veterinarians who are board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Dermatologists (ACVD). Our team maintains an active caseload and consults with veterinarians from all areas of the country.

Our expertise includes:

  • allergic dermatoses
  • endocrine disorders
  • immune-mediated diseases
  • infectious skin diseases
  • Research relating to the field:
    • diagnostic tests for hypothyroidism
    • causes of non-inflammatory hair loss in dogs
    • diagnosis and treatment of resistant bacterial infections

Diagnostic tests routinely performed include:

  • intradermal skin testing for allergies
  • endocrine testing
  • histopathology
  • video-otoscopy
